What occurred yesterday in #Khokana was not unexpected on both sides. A voice that came from the #agony and the #government side #police positioned itself as #domination for the #Newar #community as a whole to fan this turmoil. The extent of police dominance seemed very #psychological to intensify the #dispute deliberately.
The reality is that any #politicians or #bureaucrats who are born outside the #Kathmandu #Valley have little or no #regard for the Kathmandu Valley people, property, #culture, and #heritage. There have been so many #proofs that only the #indigenous #people are protecting their #ancestral #land, not #outsiders. It’s time for #ethnic Newar people to come together from the valley, overall #Nepal, and from outside the country and find the solution to stop these kinds of #development projects that destroy ancient cultures, #values, and #norms. It is an #EthnicCleansing
This #demonstration apparently marked the #beginning of a #revolt #against the #selfish #action of those who are in this government. A #significant accomplishment of this protest is that Newar participants from Kathmandu, #Thimi, #bhaktapur, and #Dhulikhel came to this protest. It’s time to see how things are happening in the Kathmandu Valley by being a Newar.
